or High Detail Map Architecture buffs may want to sign up for a walk through 200 years of architecture in the city.

The Friends of the Library, a nonprofit San Juan Capistrano library group that benefits and encourages library use and preservation of this award winning library, sponsors weekly guided walking tours that are given every Saturday at 10 AM.

The walk, which includes adobes, Spanish-era dwellings and streamlined modern buildings covers about a mile on level ground and lasts 90 minutes. A donation of $5 per person is requested. All proceeds support the Friends of the Library.

Prospective walkers should call 949-489-0736, and meet at the train depot on Verdugo Street in San Juan Capistrano at 10 AM on Saturday. In addition to these regularly scheduled walks, special arrangements may be made for groups of five or more to have tours on other days.
